I have set both CTRL and CAPS LOCK as CTRL, using key layouts under kde. I'm very pleased that xpra/winswitch usually doesn't screw this up - but I've seen several times that after playing with xpra/winswitch the key mapping of CAPS LOCK on my _local_ keyboard/display has been switched.
