This is a regression from the 6.3.x series and older branches are not affected. Everything else looks fairly normal. The `move-resize` fix solves window positioning and resizing issues with some applications, notably electron applications like vscode. For more details, please see: https://github.com/Xpra-org/xpra-html5/releases/tag/v18.1 Cheers, Antoine From totaam at xpra.org Mon Nov 10 15:31:07 2025 From: totaam at xpra.org (Antoine Martin) Date: Mon, 10 Nov 2025 22:31:07 +0700 Subject: [winswitch] [ANNOUNCE] Xpra 6.3.6 Message-ID: <07d92f6a-e3e0-4095-81a4-1ba1ce948cfb@xpra.org> Hi, This release contains an unusual number of critical fixes. Most notably: * some new crashes in the GStreamer codecs which were triggered when running the initialization self-tests * a Fedora update packaging change which resulted in all previously generated packages in our repositories to no longer be installable, ever. This means that a release for the v5.1.x LTS branch will also be landing shortly. There were also two important fixes for regressions in the v6.3.5 release: * spurious horizontal scroll events * virtual display geometry issues For more details, please see: https://github.com/Xpra-org/xpra/releases/tag/v6.3.6 Cheers, Antoine From totaam at xpra.org Tue Nov 11 16:43:24 2025 From: totaam at xpra.org (Antoine Martin) Date: Tue, 11 Nov 2025 23:43:24 +0700 Subject: [winswitch] [ANNOUNCE] Xpra LTS 5.1.3 Message-ID: <3e9f9099-1e2e-4f32-9b31-951e52489866@xpra.org> Hi, Just like the 6.3.6 release that precedes it, this release is precipitated by the Fedora package breakage. Apart from the GStreamer codec crash, which is less likely to have affected LTS users anyway, there aren't any noticeable fixes in this release. There is no urgency to update if you were not affected by these issues. For the full list of changes, see the release notes: https://github.com/Xpra-org/xpra/releases/tag/v5.1.3 Cheers, Antoine
