Works OK here:
$ xpra attach ssh:test at localhost:10
test at localhost's password: xpra client version 0.8.0
Permission denied, please try again.
(...)

The version string was printed over the top of the password prompt,
this is now fixed:
https://www.xpra.org/trac/changeset/1990
I am building some 0.7.2 beta packages with this fix, they will appear
here shortly:
http://xpra.org/beta/
But if you just press return (or type it wrong) it will prompt you
again (more cleanly this time).

Cheers
Antoine
