Looks like I can't reproduce the issue after Xdummy restart.
Whatever it was it seems to be some kind of degradation in X server but not in 
xpra. This is all without changeset your recommended.

I had this server running for weeks and I think it survived multiple "xpra 
upgrade" including some with new xpra versions.
