To run a full X desktop (ala VNC - I assume that is what you are trying
to do), the application that is forwarded via Xpra must be able to
contain the entire desktop area with its own window manager and
everything else.
What you are looking for is --start-child=Xnest
As for rox-filer specifically, I don't have it installed so I don't know
what it tries to do.
